We’re proud to announce that KAYAK has partnered with Join for Joy, a global organization helping teachers use the power of play to encourage students in rural Kenya, Uganda, Malawi and Zambia to stay in school.

We have fully refurbished 20 of the machines we do not use anymore, and those will now get a 2nd life in classrooms and for teacher training in East Africa.

Here at KAYAK, giving back to communities to better the world we’re helping people experience is something we take to heart. Our Do Good program enables our employees to give back to their communities through VTO (volunteer-time off) days — in 2022 we contributed more than 750 hours. Partnering with Join for Joy is an exciting new opportunity for us to Do Good and recycle our tech at the same time.

When we were introduced to this program by our CFO (whose wife works with Join for Joy) we were impressed with the impact they are making to break the cycle of poverty. They have trained 800+ teachers in 200+ schools and connected with 650,000+ students to date. The results are improved student performance and fewer dropouts. We are thrilled that we can use our tech to Do Good for the children in these communities and look forward to sharing updates on our progress. #DoGood
